Jack Bell (Oldmeldrum); Robert Davie (Aberdeen); Lee Henderson-Thynne (Aberdeen); Ross Paterson (Aberdeen); Will Ramsay (Fraserburgh).
They all passed their introductory exam in December and will now complete their “Game under Guidance” this month and be able to begin officiating.
The Association is delighted to advise that Ryan Milne has been promoted to Category 1 Development Referee, and that Andy Milne has been promoted to Category 3 Specialist Assistant Referee.
Sandy Roy, Association Manager, said of the promotion: “The promotions reflect the potential that both officials have to make an impact at the highest level in the national game and are due to the efforts being put in on a weekly basis, both on and off the field. This gives Ryan appointments in SPFL League 2, with possible further promotion to Category 1 in the fullness of time. Andy will be introduced gradually to Specialist Assistant Referee duties the SPFL Premiership.
This further demonstrates the opportunities available nationally to referees in this area”.
The Association is delighted to advise that UEFA has announced that Morag Pirie has been promoted to the UEFA “Women Elite” category for the second half of Season 2013-14.
Sandy Roy, Association Manager, said of the promotion: “It’s a truly magnificent achievement and thoroughly deserved for all the sacrifices and hard work which Morag has made to achieve this goal.”
John Fleming, Scottish FA Head of Referee Operations, also commented: “This is wonderful news for Morag Pirie, it is reward for all the hard work and effort she has put in over the years. She has had a very successful year in international football and with her being in the prospective pool of referees for the FIFA 2015 Women’s World Cup in Canada, we can only hope that her promotion will increase her chances of selection.”
